Our client, a multinational manufacturing organisation, based in Bangor, who work in the manufacturing, precision engineering & aerospace sector.
They have a requirement for graduate engineer to work with their manufacturing teams and ensure that products are delivered to meet costs, quality & schedule.
Candidates should have knowledge of and/or some (placement experience) of manufacturing processes & practices, design, CNC operation. etc Other training skills will be provided
Candidates should have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

Role & duties
• Role will be based in the Technical Office working under the supervision of the Engineering Director
• It will involve interpretation & evaluation of customer supplied drawings, CAD models and Bills of Materials to assist with industrialisation/costing of projects
• Creation/revision and testing of Numerical Control (NC) programs using AlphaCAM Advanced Router software to program 3-axis CNC router machines
• Continual optimisation of existing CNC programs, tooling and nesting/cutting layouts to reduce machining time and improve production quality
• Maintaining the Engineering Drawing Library and participating in the internal Engineering Update (ECN) process
• Creation of GD&T/’vendor-controlled’ drawings • Project Management – it is envisaged that the Graduate Engineer will have day-to-day management responsibility for a number of R&D projects from start to finish (e.g., investigating new production methods/tooling etc. or improving shop-floor production methods). This may include direct instruction & supervision of shop-floor employees
• Assisting the Engineering Director in maintaining the company IT network and ERP system deployment activities
• Assisting in the accurate completion of aerospace traceability & airworthiness paperwork including First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and other related ‘Quality’ activities.
• Use of Hexagon Absolute portable measuring arm for dimensional analysis/measurement reporting of manufactured parts (full training will be provided)
