A gel that can kill the fatal superbug that left four babies dead in neo-natal units across Northern Ireland has been developed by a team of Queen’s University scientists.

Dr Garry Laverty and his team at Queen’s University researched and created the gel that destroys the bacteria.  This development could be a major breakthrough in the battle against deadly diseases that can infect hospitals globally.
