ADS Group announced a 7% increase in aircraft and engine deliveries in the first half of 2014 compared to the same period in 2013, emphasising the industry’s response to growing global demand as several airlines look to advance, develop or grow their fleets.  This amplified rate of production means that deliveries so far this year are projected to be worth approximately $17bn (£10bn) to the UK economy.

The data also revealed a record monthly aircraft backlog figure, of almost 11,500 aircraft.  This backlog forms a steady and constant foundation for the UK Aerospace sector to maintain and progress as the European market leader.
